Believe it or not, this basement was
"waterproofed" by one of the largest "Franchise"
companies operating on the east coast. This is
their unqualified and substandard solution. Most
of the large "Franchise" companies mitigate the
water problem in this fashion, due to their lack
of knowledge and concern for the
homeowner. Systems like these actually promote a
higher yield of mold growth, and tend to fail
completely in only a few years. (see close up)
Other factors involve the use of sub-standard
materials. This problem combined with unqualified
installation is unacceptable. This system is just
one of many removed by our company. (The system
being deleted failed after only a year or so.
Notice the crushed piping? It was crushed
intentionally upon installation in an effort to
"save time".)

In
only a few months after an expensive remodeling
job, improper mitigation of a moisture problem
caused a false sense of security. This home owner
lost their investment, and the basement had to be
gutted.

We recommend and even install new basement
windows. These 20 year, vinyl, double insulated
sliders, not only improve the environment and
temperature control in your basement, but they are
a great eye improvement as well.
